Company A - unnamed SaaS disaster recovery and cloud backup provider; retained by senior lender to assist in strategic review and out of court restructuring.
Company B - unnamed transportation safety services company; retained by parent company to assist in go-to-market M&A process.
Eric has over 20 years of M&A, private equity, credit investing and restructuring experience at both bulge bracket and boutique firms. Eric spent nearly 10 years at Lehman Brothers, as a Managing Director in both the Private Equity and Principal Investing Group and the Global Trading Strategies Division. In 2008, Eric was hired by Alvarez & Marsal as part of the Lehman Bankruptcy and spent 3 years managing a $2B portfolio of illiquid credit and private equity positions on behalf of the Lehman estate. Eric also served as a senior advisor at Coller Capital, one of the leading secondary private equity funds, and was a Senior Managing Director at Monarch Capital Group, a small cap and special situation investment management and strategic advisory firm.
Prior to Lehman, Eric was the senior research analyst at Basso Capital Management, a convertible arbitrage and special situations hedge fund and was a senior private equity professional at an affiliate of Credit Suisse Asset Management. Mr. Salzman began his career in the M&A Group at First Boston.
Eric earned a B.A. Honors from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Harvard Business School and completed the Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Education Program in Board Governance.
Eric is a member of the Honors Advisory Council at the University Michigan.
